Hello! My name is Rumana, and I'm a recent graduate from UW Seattle. I am located in Central Seattle and can conveniently get to anywhere close by, such as Capitol Hill, but also have a car and can travel farther (as far as North Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, etc.) if needed. I love kids and hope to become a pediatrician one day! To me, working with children is incredibly fun and exciting—I love to engage their curiosity and sense of play as a babysitter and help them learn how to be respectful and kind as peers at the same time. I have experience working with kids of all ages, particularly between infants to around 12 years old. When babysitting, I typically help kids read books, play lots of games, as well as do arts and crafts if available in order to stimulate their imagination and creativity. I am happy to help with homework, light housekeeping, and any other responsibilities you might need me to do. I babysat all throughout undergrad, as well as another gap year, amounting to 5 years of experience doing paid babysitting, and spent an initial 2 years working for a family with three talkative and active kids aged 1, 3, and 5. Afterwards, I began babysitting for many different families independently for an additional 2 years, and am super adaptable to a variety of kids! Parenting is hard; the most fulfilling aspect of babysitting to me is helping your family maintain balance within your lives amidst busy schedules, and I sincerely hope to use my experience working with kids in my future career!

My name is Samantha and I am a mother of two youngsters! I have worked for three years as a parent coordinator in co-op preschool with kids from 1 to 5. Additionally, I have nanny experience, new born night care experience and regular babysitter experience. Childcare is by far the best career choice I could have ever made. My approach to childcare is play based and rich in art, books, baking and any other activity kids enjoy. What makes me different from other babysitters is that I come to the job with a range of thoughtful and helpful ideas. Firstly, I help teach children effective solutions for issues that arise for anything from sharing to communicating their needs. Secondly, I go above and beyond to anticipate how I can help parents. This means that at the end of a babysitting night all the toys and dishes are all put back and clean. Lastly, I hope you'll choose me because I am a parent and that gives me an insight into what raising a child feels like. I bring ideas, empathy, and care into my work. I see childcare as a three fold job: caring for the children, the family as a whole and the house. Parents know their children better than anyone so I always take parent input seriously and appreciate any feedback along the way. My schedule: Evenings on weekdays - 7:30pm to 1am. Weekends anytime. My rate is $33/hour for 1 child $35/hour for 2 & 3 children and $ 40 for 4. I can care for up to 6 children in a sitting. (Rates negotiable) Thank you so much!

My name is Ashley, and I'm a local nanny with seven years of experience here in Seattle. I've had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of families, providing both full-time care for four families and part-time support for many others. I'm well-versed in caring for children across all age groups, from newborns to teenagers, and have specific expertise in overnight care and caring for twins. I believe in a hands-on approach to nannying, focusing on enriching activities like arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and engaging trips to the library. I also have practical experience assisting with key developmental stages, including introducing solids and navigating potty training. I'm truly passionate about helping children learn and grow, and I'm excited by the prospect of contributing to your family's well-being. I'd be delighted to discuss how my skills and experience align with what you're looking for.

Ashley is a phenomenal nanny. She worked for us for 7 months and the only reason she stopped is because my child is going to daycare now. I highly recommend her.

I love helping children discover the world around them using all of their senses and capabilities. I use my own observations of the child's interests and abilities as well as communication with the parents and the child to determine what activities to offer him or her. I enjoy forming a deep connection with the children I care for and strive to pass on my love of learning with them. In addition, I consciously model and encourage compassion, kindness, curiosity, experimentation, respect for others, and an appreciation for the natural and material world. Most of all, I hope to show the child that he or she is loved and wonderful just as she or he is! NOTE: I am allergic to cats, so am unable to work in households with them.

I highly recommend Allison as a babysitter. She is incredibly responsive, super organized, and has the sweetest demeanor. What truly sets Allison apart is her creativity and initiative; she plans engaging activities, like trips to the beach, park, even the pet store. She watched my daughter and her best friend together and she was so amazing at teaching them valuable lessons around sharing and kindness. She is so thoughtful that at the end of each day, she sends a note detailing everything she did with the kids did, along with pictures of them playing together and engaging in fun places. My daughter, who is usually shy, warmed up to Allison immediately, and still talks about her all the time! Knowing she is CPR and first aid certified gives complete peace of mind. We feel incredibly lucky as a family to have met Allison. Any family that has the opportunity to work with Allison will be absolutely thrilled. Pia

I am a warm, conscientious, positive and reliable person and the mother of four young adults, one an All survivor. I was active in their schools and activities and am used to those routines. For 13 years I worked with groups of elementary aged children in science enrichment programs as well as supervising and instructing in summer camp settings. For the last five years I have worked as a before school nanny for one family, and afternoons as a family assistant to another family with teenagers. For three years I have been an after school/camp nanny for 2 additional families. I also provide child care nights and weekends for several other families on an occasional basis. I love working with children, watching them grow and develop their special talents. I have a flexible schedule and try to accommodate your needs.

Kimberly was great to work with. Her attention to my cats made me feel confident in her care. There were no worries during our absence and the kitties were well adjusted when we returned. Thank you, Kimberly!

Hi there! My name's Alisha and I've been told (a few times 😉before) that I am a very reliable, energetic, trustworthy and highly experienced “Nannager” ~ my own term for the perfect blend of professional sitter, nanny, and household manager. With 20+ years of childcare experience, I’ve cared for children of all ages, including infants, twins, toddlers, and school-aged children. I genuinely love helping families create a safe, happy, organized, and fun environment where children can learn, explore, and grow. I’m Adult, Child & Animal CPR Certified, First Aid trained, have a clean driving record, no criminal background, and hold Level II clearance for working and volunteering around children in school settings. I recently adopted my niece and two nephews, so I understand firsthand the beautiful ~ and sometimes wonderfully chaotic ~ reality of caring for little ones and managing a busy household. I believe children thrive when they receive individualized attention, encouragement, consistency, and plenty of opportunities for creativity, outdoor play, movement, and discovery. I love getting kids involved rather than simply “watching” them. I’m a golf and softball instructor, active in youth sports and community leadership, and currently serve on the North Bothell Little League Board, as Softball Player Coordinator, Head Umpire in Chief, and GM of the U14 Girls Softball team. I’m also an active member of the NorthShore School District Fitness & Nutrition Committee. I’m currently developing my ASL skills and enjoy introducing children to beginner French and Spanish. I’m happy to prepare meals, tidy up, do children’s laundry, run errands, provide transportation, manage schedules, and help keep busy households running smoothly. Most importantly, I want parents to feel confident when they walk out the door ~ and children to feel excited when I walk through it. My goal is to become more than just a sitter: I want to be the trusted, dependable extra set of hands every busy family wishes they had. ❤️ Alisha K
