My name is Kaleb Walker. I am 24 years old and currently a student at Eastern Washington University. I will be graduating with my BA in Psychology. I have 10 years of childcare experience. More than two years ago, I began working in the BRS field. I have worked in multiple settings, with foster kids, ranging from ages 6 to 18. The children/adolescents I worked with had a wide range of mental health diagnoses, behavioral issues and some had developmental disabilities. This has provided me with a certain set of skills to handle conflict resolution, verbal de-escalation, aiding in developing daily living skills as well as coping skills, attending to school difficulties of children with varying cognitive functions and working quickly in a high-stress environment. It has also given me experience learning how to play and communicate with children with different capacities. I am CPR certified and have a current Read more fingerprint/FBI background check. I will be pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology to work with high-risk children and adolescents.
