I am a mom to a 15 year old son and 1 year old daughter. I’m looking to find a job near my home (NW/Shadle area). I have experience with all age children from infant up. I graduated June 2009 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Since then I have worked a little over a year at St. Anne’s and I am going on 12 years with Head Start in both the infant and toddler rooms to currently an Associate Teacher in the preschool room. I’m currently taking unpaid leave due to Covid because I don’t have child care for my daughter and my son is doing full year virtual school. The longer I have been home the more it makes me want to take a little break from Head Start and focus more on spending time with my own children but I haven’t made my mind up yet. I will be taking leave until March 31 at least but it could get extended depending on our Covid situation. I was hoping to help someone out with some before and/or after school care during the week. I am a fun-loving, patient, creative, energetic person. I live on the Northwest side of town (VA hospital, Joe Albi Stadium area) and would prefer to help in that general area. I am first aid and CPR certified and have lots of training in Positive Discipline.
