I began babysitting at about 12 years old and have been in child care ever since. In July 2005, I started babysitting four girls (ages 2, 4, 7, and 9) and watched them on a regular basis until I went off to college in Sept. 2008. I babysat them occasionally through the years, including providing overnight/weekend care on multiple occasions. In September 2009, I acquired a nanny job for four girls - triplets and their older sister (ages 1 and 2. 5). I took care of them on a consistent schedule until I graduated college in 2012. I have also provided overnight/weekend care on multiple occasions. I recently was an Au Pair for three kids ages 6, 9, and 12 in Norway for seven months (Dec 2012-July 2013). My duties included housekeeping, laundry, errands, meal preparation, gardening, and driving kids around. Currently I care for a 2.5-year-old boy and help Read more with his boy/girl twin siblings (born end of Dec 2013). I provide engaging play and spark curiosity with the toddler on outings to the Children's Museum, park, or library. I love children and have a passion for child care! I have learned and believe that love and patience is best when dealing with not so desirable behaviors in children. I love witnessing and encouraging kids' imaginations! As for certification, I have taken a CPR/first aid course before but it is outdated. I would definitely be willing to update if so desired.
