Hello! name is Tiyana, and I'm based in University Place, Tacoma. I'm part of the LGBTQ+ community and pride myself on creating safe, inclusive, and welcoming spaces for every family I work with. I've worked with children of all ages, from newborns to 15 years old, and truly love helping and watching them learn and grow through connection and play. During my time as a daycare float teacher, I worked with every age group, which gave me a strong foundation in early childhood care and development-and plenty of patience too, lol! After my daycare experience, I became a CNA and worked in the Mother-Baby unit, where cared for newborns and postpartum parents. I gave baths, took vitals, did baby footprints, and assisted the nurses wherever I could. I also gained experience in the ICU and other hospital units, helping with mobility support and hygiene care. Most recently, I nannied for Read more two amazing families, one with a 6 year old boy, I cared for over 2 years, and another with a baby boy from 5 weeks old to 6 months! These experiences deepened my love for nurturing little ones and strengthened my understanding for how important family support is. It truly takes a village, and being part of one, even for a short time, means a lot to me. Alongside my nanny and babysitting work, I support children and families in foster care as a case aid with a nonprofit organization.
