I have over 10 years of professional experience in childcare. I began assisting teachers at a TKD childcare when I was 14 years of age and began employment at the company at 16. This includes children ages 4-15 years. I supervised multiple children on outings such as the zoo, movies, bowling, parks etc. I also led a class of 20+ kindergarteners. Then I was employed as a Nanny in Washington to a 3 month old. My duties included diaper changing, bottle feeding to solid food feeding, bathing, naps, taking on outings, engaging in social, physical and cognitive activities. I stopped watching her around 2 years of age when I moved back home to Alaska. About 4 years ago I returned to Washington and began working as a Nanny for the same family with the now 8 year old and her two younger siblings who are 6 and 4. We provided stimulating activities, nap time, snack prep, outside play and etc. We did diaper changes as well as started teaching the children how to use the potty. Before leaving Alaska my last job I was employed as a CSS/PCA working with children and adults in respite care as well as day habilitation care. I have been CPR: First Aid training as well as OSHA certified, however it is now expired. Willing to reobtain if necessary. I have an insured vehicle and a clean drivers license, and drive my full time nanny kids to school and extra curricular activities. I have experience with car seats, and driving children from location to location as well as experience driving a 15+ children van. Personal life: I just finished a college course for Welding where I graduated with a 4.0 and honors, and won a competition against the other welding schools. I love metal artwork and hoping someday this will be my career. I'm looking for extra money to help save for travel and to pay off my school loans. My significant other is military so this will unfortunately not be my permanent location. I have a dog and two cats, I love to hike, swim, bike, read, play board games, video games, bake and longboard. If you have any questions I would love to help out!
