My name is Amenda B., I am 25 years old. My husband, 3 year old son, and I moved to the Portland/Vancouver area last year due to military orders. We moved from the beautiful island of Guam. I am a kind, compassionate, and bubbly person. I grew up in a big island family with lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins. From a very young age I was taught to help and care for young children. I've always been great with kids and trusted to care for them. After high school I attended Guam Community College where I majored in Early Childhood Education. I also worked for Guam Department of Education for 3 years as a Teachers Aide. It was at this job where I discovered my love and passion for teaching, nourishing the minds of our youth, and caring for them. I assisted and taught lessons to students from grades Read more K-5 and while working there I established positive relationships with the faculty, staff, parents, and most importantly, the students. I resigned and paused my education a little after my son was born and began the wonderful journey of motherhood. I am currently a stay-at-home mom and would like to branch out and find employment by using my abilities and skills to help in child care.
