I attend UC Davis, and am majoring in Biology and Human Development. I am currently a junior, a resident adviser in the dorms, and totally love it! I'm hoping to attend medical school and become a pediatric endocrinologist. Not only have I been babysitting for 6 years, I am also CPR and first-aid certified! I am fingerprinted and background checked because I am a substitute teacher at the preschool on campus in Davis! I have also worked in the infant and toddler rooms and have been trained in both. I currently intern in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the UC Davis Medical Center, so I have cared for children of all ages, and at many different medical statuses. Previously, I worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and am very comfortable with small infants. I was a nanny for twins who were born 12 weeks premature, even while they were still in the hospital! I love babies and children of all ages. I have also worked as a camp counselor for children ages 7-14. I was responsible for up to 30 children at any one time, so I'm great at keeping children occupied with safe and constructive activities! I'm also very level headed under pressure and with lots of teen and pre-teen campers, I'm great at relating and helping them have a great time!

Emily is a babysitter heroine! She came to our rescue when our plans with another sitter fell apart at the last minute. She was communicative over email, responded to me right away and drove about an hour to our home to take care of our daughter. Emily sat for my 14 month old daughter in Tahoe while I was working at a conference at the Resort at Squaw Creek. Emily was able to quickly engage my little girl and keep her happy over very long hours (about 30 hours in 2.5 days). She took her on walks and found ways to occupy her in my room, and got her to sleep without trouble (which not everyone can do). I would definitely use her again.

Emily and her best friend babysat for 3 babies thus last weekend for us and 2 other couples in Healdsburg while we went wine tasting. They were willing to travel quite a distance to babysit and they were on time and professional. Emily and her friend ended up having some car troubles on their way home from baby-sitting the first day. We had them stay at our rental house over night because we wanted to make sure they were safe for the night. They were respectful of our space and time when they were "not on the clock", which was much appreciated. Our 3 babies (7 months, 12 months, 13 months) were well cared for, happy, and safe in their care. I would recommend Emily to a friend.
