I am a 23-year-old graduate student currently obtaining my master's degree in speech language pathology at MGH Institute of Health Professions, in Charlestown, near the Navy Yard. I have been babysitting/nannying children since I was 15 years old. They bring out my silly side which is my favorite part of being around them. I recently became a first time Aunt and she's the most precious human ever. I find it very special that I can calm my niece down faster than my sister can occasionally. My most recent previous jobs included working with an 8 year old boy that was diagnosed with Autism and working in a group home that catered to individuals with physical and/or mental disabilities. I have worked with many different age groups and love them all. I have volunteered at 2 different speech clinics back in Minnesota, with one focusing on outpatient care and the other Read more working with children with Autism. I am energetic, hard-working, and I make a lot of puns that people sometimes find funny. I enjoy working with children as I get to teach them everything about the world and they give me a different perspective. I currently watch a 6 month old baby girl once a week and on date nights for the family. It has been a pleasure to watch her grow and share special moments with her. I can provide their information as a reference, if needed. I also walk and watch dogs for families in my free time. I pride myself in my ability to get along with anyone and find learning what each individual likes and how to entertain them incredibly interesting. I am a fast learner and am very flexible if schedules change. I am also CPR and First/aid certified.
