I love being a sitter because it's super rewarding to watch them learn and grow while you're helping them out. Plus, every day is different and you get to be creative with activities and games. I've had the chance to babysit for two different families before, which has been an incredible experience. With both families, I looked after their daughters both around 6-7 years old after school, creating fun art projects and outdoor games to keep them entertained. Also, I'm CPR certified and staff at Greenville Middle School until 2 PM every day, so I'm constantly around kids and know how to handle different situations.

I have watched over a number of families through my babysitting experience. Also, I have taken a babysitting certification course. I started babysitting in 6th grade and am currently still doing it. The past three years during the summer, I have babysat 7:30-4:30 for a family, four days a week. This included driving them to sports practices, making them lunch, cleaning up after them, and keeping them occupied. I love spending time with kids and building a connection with them. I am easy going which makes me adaptable to changing minds of children.

I started babysitting at the age of 9 years old and when I was 12 I took the babysitting course. Once I graduated high school I worked at a daycare center for a year and a half and then I got another full-time job and ended up watching my cousin’s kiddos after my full-time job for a few hours every night. In the meantime I ended up getting married to my husband (just celebrated 16 years in July) and went through years of infertility until we finally decided to adopt our 2 kiddos…our son is now 11 & our daughter is now 9. After my son was born I ended up being a stay at home mom and did childcare out of my house for the last 11 years.

I’m moving back to the Appleton area after spending a year in Madison! I like spending time at the park, bike rides, and attempting to draw. I started babysitting when I was 11 or 12, so it’s been a while. I’ll have a part time job at Athleta and am looking for something else to go along with that! While in Madison I was an assistant manager at Banana Republic.
