Hi moms and dads, I'm Megan. I babysat/nannied through high school and college. I work in a kids' dental office and am back in school part-time for a nonprofit management certificate. I'm single without kids and available evenings and weekends. I am a natural caregiver. Working with kids in a dental office, I have a lot of patience and understanding. I'm CPR/BLS certified. Through my work I go to local schools so I also have a clear background check. I find working with children very rewarding. My most rewarding role was as a sitter for one girl. I started when she was three and got to watch and help her grow over the next eight years. I went from having her slam the door in my face after meeting me the first time, to hearing her excitedly shout, "Megan's here!" when I rang the doorbell. From tuck-ins to birthday parties, and spending the night when emergencies arose, her parents could always count on me. My favorite ages to work with are young kids, about 3 to 7, but I'm comfortable with all ages, from babies to those almost old enough to stay home alone. I'm equally comfortable with boys and girls. I can play dolls and read books about fairies, or I can have Jedi fights and run bases. I have some experience with special needs children through my job. I also love animals, especially dogs, and have done quite a bit of pet sitting. I'm comfortable with just about anything you might need from a babysitter: meal prep, homework help, light housework like laundry and dishes, and all sorts of things! Thanks for reading.
