Disclaimer: My availability looks wide open but that is just because my schedule is flexible and I'm open to a lot of different options. I am only looking to add around 10 hours of childcare to my weekly schedule, or to just be someone you can call last minute if something comes up. Hi there! I've been taking care of the little ones on and off since I was pretty little myself at the age of 12 YO. When I was 15 I began a 3yr leadership training program at the YMCA's Camp Minikani in Hubertus WI. I spent my last summer before University living and breathing the camp life while caring for up to 8 or 9 girls of various ages for one to two week sessions at a time. I then attended the University of Wisconsin of La Crosse for two years before jetting off to Australia for Read more 8 months to be an Au Pair for a wonderful family I am still in contact with (and was just able to visit!!) in Brisbane. As an au pair I was fully responsible for their three kids about 25 hours a week. When I wasn't with the kids I was working as a bartender and entering data for my Aussi family's bicycle shop. After Australia I spent 7 months backpacking through Asia with the money I had saved and then landed on my feet here in Madison last January! Upon arrival I worked as a special education assistant at Franklin Elementary School part-time through the end of the 2013-2014 school year. I considered accepting the full-time position for the 2015-2016 school year but ended up choosing something with more flexibility. I'm looking to supplement my current job as a bartender and "bag-thrower" at the airport (flight benefits!!!) and work on saving some money to go back to school next year. My babysitting "style:" -I don't put up with wining for electronics or TV. We will go outside and we will like it. But of course everything in moderation! -I will have the kids tidy up their play area or any messes before bedtime or before you get home (unless they are in the middle of a cool project or wild imaginative adventure in the middle of the day!). I'll definitely help if they're being good about it especially because I'm sure to have helped make any messes! -Tidying up the kitchen and doing the dishes before you get home is part of the job in my eyes. No one wants to come home to see the babysitter sitting on the couch watching a movie and eating all the ice cream with a messy kitchen. -Don't worry I won't eat all your ice cream.
