Hello! My name is Libby. I am a student at UW-Milwaukee pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree specializing in Pediatrics. I am CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certified. I have worked with children of all ages, and have had many babysitting jobs and one full time nannying job. My full time nannying job took place from (4/17/23 - 8/20/23). I took care of two children ages 2 months and 3 years old. My job responsibilities included maintaining a clean environment for the children, disinfecting play surfaces, cleaning dishes, sterilizing bottles, preparing bottles, preparing meals and snacks, preparing activities, and putting newborn and toddler down at designated nap times. The reason for leaving this specific nanny job was due to transferring colleges. During this job opportunity I had the chance to obtain a very close relationship with the children, and had the opportunity to watch the children grow and achieve many important milestones. I began babysitting at 15 , Was a stay at home mom, and when my kids went to school I discovered I missed the sound of kids in the house. I’ve been taking care of kids since fall of 2000. Can’t image doing anything else. Have worked from home and in a daycare setting . I’m willing to welcome your child into my home or am able to come to yours. I am comfortable with any age .

Although I never was a registered babysitter, I have babysat and taken care of three or four children at a time within my family. I was a nanny for my sister Leah and her three children when I was 14 for a whole summer in between academic school years, for example. I did work at a daycare - Little Dumplings Early Learning Center- for the summer and I absolutely enjoyed every second. I worked with ages 6 months-3 years primarily and I love that age because I see so much personality development and growth at those ages. It is an extremely rewarding job knowing I help not only the kids with every day activities, but that I also help the parents. I know life can get very hectic and not working isn’t an option. I think that taking care of children is a great gift to people like me who want to work with children when they get older. It is great practice as I always learn many new things, and again as I said before, it is incredibly rewarding watching and helping little children grow into toddlerhood then preschool age and so on. I am CPR and choking certified.
