Hello! I currently teach kindergarten part time and am looking to help a family with after school care, all day Thursday care, or summer hours. In the past I have been a special needs aid for Germantown elementary schools, which led me to teach since I loved it! My previous experience also includes being a full time nanny for twin boys from the age of 7 months til they turned 2. I am 4 yrs old, I grew up with a younger brother and sister so I babysat a lot. I have babysat my whole life for friends, family, through Care.com and was with a Nanny agency. I really enjoy seeing children learn/master something, seeing something through their eyes am NOT a sitter who just sits on the couch. The scariest thing that has ever happened to me happened while I was in charge of a three yr old, she choked!! I was able to do the Heimlich maneuver and she was ok. I believe this shows I'm good under pressure. I am a retired homemaker who has immense knowledge as well as many years of experience as it pertains to running, managing and maintaining a home in ways that help it run harmoniously. Ideally Home needs to be a place of solace and comfort, it needs to be a place where family members feel respected, recognized and valued which in my humble opinion seamlessly comes together when a house becomes a "Home". Obviously there a many ways to do this however it has been my experience that one of the best ways to acomplish this is simply by creating a routine that matches the pulse of the household in ways to ensure each member feels valued.

I absolutely LOVE working with children!!! I used to work at a daycare full-time, and I worked for a wonderful family last year for almost 6 months watching there 2 boys 3 days a week minimum until they moved to a different city. Otherwise, I would still be working for them, because the family really liked me and still does, and the boys both loved me, especially the 3 year old, seeing as he still talks about me almost a year later. I have a letter of recommendation, in which, the wife wrote for me. I have experience working with infants, as well as potty training. The mom of the two boys would speak well of me potty training her oldest son, seeing as the other boy was almost a year old when my time with them ended. Therefore, he was still in diapers when I left, but she would love it if I were able to be there to potty train him too, when he is old enough. I would love to be a part of your family, if it's a good fit for all of us, because I want your family to have the proper caretaker working with your child/children that best fits their needs, seeing as that is what I would be there for. I also enjoy cooking and cleaning, and cleaning up before I leave is a non-negotiable, because I like my work area to be clean, as well as neat and tidy, especially when the job is complete for the day. I want you to come home to a clean environment as well.

I enjoy being with children and I find it fulfilling when I’m able to teach them new things. I have worked as a camp counselor over the summer at EPIC martial arts which is located in Woodstock GA, I have moved here to Wisconsin to live with my mother and go to school, I am studying interior design. I know how to keeping kids busy with either crafts or an activity. I am not a huge fan of electronics I would rather go do something outside or an activity or craft I don’t mind the TV for a movie though. I know how to deal with injuries and know how to deal with conflict or frustration. If there is a conflict I will listen to all sides and take action form there and if there is frustration I will help calm the situation. If you need help with pets or cleaning just let me know and I can help cook meals if you’d like me to.

Although I never was a registered babysitter, I have babysat and taken care of three or four children at a time within my family. I was a nanny for my sister Leah and her three children when I was 14 for a whole summer in between academic school years, for example. I did work at a daycare - Little Dumplings Early Learning Center- for the summer and I absolutely enjoyed every second. I worked with ages 6 months-3 years primarily and I love that age because I see so much personality development and growth at those ages. It is an extremely rewarding job knowing I help not only the kids with every day activities, but that I also help the parents. I know life can get very hectic and not working isn’t an option. I think that taking care of children is a great gift to people like me who want to work with children when they get older. It is great practice as I always learn many new things, and again as I said before, it is incredibly rewarding watching and helping little children grow into toddlerhood then preschool age and so on. I am CPR and choking certified.

I am currently a sophomore in college as a Sports and Exercise Science major hoping to be a Physical Therapist. I love being a sitter because I enjoy being with kids and giving them a good experience. I have past experience of being a camp counselor for 4 years ranging from preschoolers to pre-teens.
