For the past 3 years, I have been working at a daycare. I worked with ages ranging between 6mo.-6yr. olds, and I loved every age group. I have been alone in a class of 4 infants, and I was the lead teacher of a class of twelve 3-4yr olds. Before I began working at the daycare, I was a literacy tutor for preschoolers through ReadingCorps Minnesota. I was stationed at Early Childhood Family Center in Stillwater, MN. My job was to implement literacy skills throughout the day and help manage the classroom, as well as performing one on one lessons to teach: vocabulary, rhymes, alliteration, and letters. Between these two jobs, I acquired experience working with children with autism and CP. I loved watching all the children grow, express their personalities, and demonstrate their intelligence. My CPR certification is still up to date and I have had continuous classes to keep the skill set and information fresh in my mind.
