I became a caregiver when my father was diagnosed with Kidney and bladder cancer at the age of 15. I had to take upon adult like responsibilities to ensure his health was good and to make sure house chores were completed as well as assisting him to the bathroom and making breakfast lunch and dinner as needed, and taking him to his doctors appointments. I currently work as a PCW two days a week as a caregiver for individuals who cannot live on their own and who need more assistance, people usually do in their everyday life, such as hygiene, cooking , medications etc. Doing so, I’ve gained a sort of love for what I do to be able to help others in need.
