Hi, my name is Kira Smith, and I am a recent high school graduate who is extremely passionate about helping children learn, grow, and thrive. I have over six years of childcare experience working with children from newborns to age 12, with most of my experience being with infants and toddlers ages 0–6. My childcare journey began when I was around 12 years old, helping care for my younger siblings. I regularly changed diapers, prepared meals, fed them, cleaned up after them, and helped with their daily routines. Starting childcare at such a young age helped me develop a deep love for caring for children and inspired my passion for helping little ones learn, grow, and feel safe. I have also cared for my nephew since he was just 3 months old. From January 2026 to May 2026, I worked as a mother’s helper for a wonderful family with two children, ages 7 months and 2 years old. My responsibilities included preparing breakfast and lunch, reading books, changing diapers, assisting with potty training, and even attending gymnastics classes with the toddler. My time with this family was filled with fun, laughter, learning, and love, and it remains one of my favorite childcare experiences and i truly miss it everyday! I am skilled in cleaning, cooking, meal preparation, diaper changes, dressing children, sleep routines, and potty-training support. I can also provide engaging activities, homework help, transportation to activities when needed, crafts, outings, and assistance with daily routines. I am patient, kind, dependable, and outgoing, and I enjoy building strong connections with both children and their families. I am comfortable working with children of all personalities and can provide support with behavioral challenges when needed.
