I have always loved children but did not officially begin working with children until I was 16. I was a preschool gymnastics, tumbling, cheer-leading, and boys/girls gymnastics instructor. I worked with children ages 3-20. Later I worked in a preschool/daycare where I worked with children ranging in age from 3 months to 6 years. Recently, I was employed as an American Sign Language Interpreter for the Marion County Board of Education. Here I worked in a classroom of 19 3-5-year-olds (though most of my time was spent one-on-one with a Deaf 3-year-old girl). I have also volunteered at a boy scout camp with ages ranging from 5-18. I was a nanny for 2 years before the family ended up moving away. I working for them when their daughter was 1. 5 until she was 3. 5 years old. Following this I was hired by the Marion Co BOE as a Read more sign language interpreter for a 3rd and 5th grader. Finally, in 2014 I was hired by the Monongalia Co BOE where I have since worked in a Pre-K. I love music and dance. In my spare time I teach and compete in a partner dance called West Coast Swing. I love outdoor activities and have a very reliable car (2011 Prius) to get us anywhere we want/need to go. I don't mind light house work or carpools.
