I currently work as a social worker at a homeless shelter where I am often engaged with children as well as adults. My job requires me to be efficient at crisis management as well as thinking on my feet. While in college I worked at a local Boys and Girls Club for 3 years where I was in charge of a class of 13 first graders. During my time there I was responsible for planning and implementing a daily educational activity as well as assisting every child with homework. I also worked in my churches nursery from the age of 15 until I left for college. In my current position as a social worker I have learned to assist many different kinds of people with many different types of disabilities. I am comfortable bathing, changing, doing hair, cleaning, cooking, tutoring, laundry, and meal prep.
