My name is Katrina, I am 23 years old and I am looking to be a caregiver/nanny for a family! I've worked in nursing homes caring for the elderly and disabled for years. My stna expired in 2021. I then worked as a home health aid for a year, then I worked as a nanny for a family friend for about 9 months until they no longer needed the care. I loved the job, (in which I cared for 2 3 year old girls and a 6 year old boy Monday-Friday 8a-6p) and i would love to be of help to another family. I love kids and pets. I am fantastic with people of different ages, backgrounds and behaviors. I am friendly, reliable, honest, caring, and trustworthy. I grew up in and out of fostercare and my dream is to be a foster parent and adopt once I feel stable Read more enough, therefore children have a soft spot in my heart. Although my apartment is fairly small, it is clean, safe, and kid friendly. I would prefer to care within my apartment as my boyfriend works and I care for his 5 year old twin boys most hours of most days. But I would love to be working again and we have other child care options if caring for your children in our home does not sound ideal to you. Although I do not have my license (my boyfriend who is home after 1pm everyday does and is available to help with transportation at that time), I take full responsibility within my job. I can and will cook, clean, and offer pet care, as well as elderly care which is where I'm most experienced, and I love the company of others and will always listen to, support, and spent time with your children and try to be a positive impact on their life, childhood, and growth. I am (was?) Cpr and first aid/aed certified but I may need to renew my certifications by now, as I will. I took a 2 year "Patient Healthcare" class as opposed to the usual 2 week stna class. I can handle many emergency situations such as, but not limited to; panick attacks, heat exhaustion, allergic reaction, bites/cuts/burns, seizures, choking, etc. As well as having both the education and experience for caring for individuals.
