This is Rebekah. I prefer to be called Bekah. I am a 35 year old single mother. I have an 11 year old daughter, Brooklyn. I have always had a passion for children, and portraying a positive role model throughout their lives because I feel it is important as an adult to ensure a positive impact in the lives of every child I encounter, because the end result is so beneficial to watch. I still, to this day, have communication with several children I was a sitter for when they were infants, toddlers, even as young adolescents. I also enjoy seeing and communicating with children I have worked with within a classroom setting. Throughout my teenage years, I was a sitter for many families and grew very close to the entire family over the years of being their sitter. I have provided childcare for a variety of children of all Read more ages, even children with special needs. One of my favorite jobs was taking care of a brother, who was special needs, and his older sister for an entire summer 5 days a week. We had a blast is all I can say, and I think that I loved that job so much because I know I made a difference in the lives' of both children, because their mother came to me and said I "was the ONLY sitter that lasted more than two days", and she was serious. I am very outgoing, goal-oriented, and a very determined person. I have worked a variety of jobs throughout my high school years, college days, and as an adult. I believe working with children is where my heart belongs. Being a single mother, I learned multi-tasking immediately. I am very family oriented and communicate with my mom and my dad daily. I'm very close with my mom. My parents divorced before I was born, my dad just left us. I enjoy shopping, walking, going to parks, hiking, arts and crafts, and reading. My daughter is my #1 blessing in my life. I am a member of a small church located in Vienna called City Soul Ministries. I am currently working to renew my teaching license, I just have to complete 6 continuing education hours. I have a big passion with children's books, and I believe I will write a children's book at some point in my life.
