Hello! My name is Annie Hennessy. I graduated high school (a boarding school named the Lawrenceville School) in May of 2018, and am attending Colorado College class of 2022. I grew up outside Chicago; however, two years ago my family moved full time to Jackson Hole! My passion is working with kids, and throughout my young adulthood I have spent most of my extra time doing so! - I have volunteered over 400 hours of service to disadvantaged children - I was a camp counselor for low-income children, I lived with and mentored them, led activities, facilitated traditional summer camp games and activities - Volunteered as teaching assistant with preschool children for two years; lead activities, helped teach, and design educational games - Tutored underprivileged urban elementary students, helped with homework - Babysat my nephew (one and a half years old) and maintained a safe play environment for him - Read more Camp counselor for 7-8 toddlers- led games, made sure they ate, slept and napped, led them on "mini adventures' - Served as a "prefect" my senior year: applied, interviewed and selected for this role; live with and mentor freshmen girls, give social and academic advice, facilitate and mediate discussions, and serve as a role model for all the freshmen - Spent four summers volunteering internationally in Ecuador, Galápagos, Turkey, Greece, and Thailand; all service revolved around working with kids: teaching english, leading games, etc. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I love playing, teaching, and spending time with kids. It is my passion, and I plan to work with children professionally. In each of my jobs and volunteer opportunities I try my best to make meaningful relationships with each child I work with. I am so excited to find out other opportunities are here in Jackson!
