We're looking for a one on one aide to assist our 7 year old son, Luke, at the UCSB Summer Day Camp for the weeks of July 14th and July 28th. The UCSB Summer camp is an all-day camp with pool time in the afternoon, so the aide would need to be able to join him in the kids' pool. Luke is a silly, imaginative boy who is energetic and excitable, but as a child with autism/ADHD he can also have emotional outbursts with possible aggression when frustrated, often during transitions or in unpredictable environments. The ideal candidate would be able to match his energy and have fun alongside him, while being calm and compassionate and helping him keep a safe body during times of dysregulation.
