My wife and I are seeking a part time babysitter for our two young children, Hugo and Vivien. Hugo is 4 and really maturing into a sweet, intelligent big brother. Our daughter Vivien is almost 2 and adores Hugo. She spends most of her day playing with him in our large backyard. She is very easy going and happy by nature. We have an older cat, Lucy, who occasionally throws up, but otherwise doesn’t need any care. We live in River Park by Cal State, Sacramento snd are primarily looking for care on days that my wife works the night before. We are both registered nurses and 2-4 times a month we have conflicting schedules that result in her not having any time to sleep before I go into work at 1000. On those days we would be looking for care while she sleeps from 10:00 am to 3 or 4 pm. In addition, my wife has chronic migraines that flare up usually 2-5 times a month. She is unable to keep up with the kids when this happens. If I’m off work of course I do everything, but on days I work we would call for a sitter if possible. An occasional date night or other engagement would factor in as well. All told we are looking for someone who could do 2-4 six hour shifts a month with plenty of notice though they are variable and may include weekends. We will also occasionally need last minute shifts, possibly for up to a couple days at a time during my work hours: 10 am- 8:00 pm when Ella has serious migraines. In addition, we would maybe have 1 or 2 shifts a month that would have plenty of notice for dates or other things. At least 10 hours a month plus more if needed. Because of the nature of the last minute migraine related shifts, a local sitter with flexible schedule is best. Our kids are great and we aren’t sticklers. Just want the basics: snack time, diaper changes for the little one, stories and free play. Transportation will likely be unnecessary, but you can drive our SUV or your car if need be.
