We're looking for a sitter to look after our 9-year-old son. We would like someone to be available starting around the beginning of the summer. This is the first time we are using a babysitter (someone outside of a family member) so we would like the process to start slowly. Initially we would like to meet with the potential candidate and get to know them, and then have our son spend some time with them in our presence to see if there is a good connection. Eventually we would like someone to be available occasionally on Friday or Saturdays when we go out and possibly, eventually working their way up to1 or 2 days during the week when we are at work. He needs to stay active and outdoors. The sitter needs to connect well with our family! We want someone with experience sitting for kids his age, and that can provide good references & has good reviews!
