My wife and I both work full time, and my wife works from home. However, the burden of trying to care for our baby while juggling the demands of her job is too much, so we are looking for a full-time sitter. Not sure what the average hourly rate is. This is our first child, so new to the parenting world. Care for our baby is probably pretty typical - feed him his bottle every few hours, put him down for naps every few hours, do some tummy-time and PT stretches, and just generally watch him through the day. We have two fluffy dogs; all bark no bite until they come to recognize you. You may be asked to do some light baby laundry or bottle washing but not expecting any home maintenance.
