Summer Camp 1:1 Aide / Special Needs Caregiver for 6-Year-Old Autistic Child

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic one-on-one aide to support our 6-year-old autistic son at summer camp in Melville, NY.
Dates & Schedule:
• August 10 – August 21
• Monday–Friday
• 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Responsibilities:
• Provide consistent 1:1 supervision and support throughout camp activities
• Assist with transitions, participation, and social interactions
• Support emotional regulation and maintain safety
• Encourage independence while providing appropriate guidance
• Communicate with camp staff and parents as needed
Ideal Candidate:
• Experience working with autistic or special needs children preferred
• Patient, reliable, and proactive
• Comfortable in active camp settings
Requirements
- Special needs experience
- Sitter has own car
