Hello! We are the Dabbs family. Parents Jenna and Ethan both work in professional services and have demanding schedules. We have two wonderful teenage sons - James (15) and William (13). James is a warm and affectionate kid who attends a special needs school - Winston Prep - because he is on the autism spectrum. He is very high functioning, takes the subway to school on his own, etc. William is into video games and cars and a hardworking Horace Mann middle schooler.
We have had the same nanny for 15 years, since James arrived. She recently hurt her knee and has to undergo emergency surgery with a recovery period of several weeks. We are hoping to find a wonderful babysitter who can help with coverage during her absence. We need someone who can be at our home after school to greet the boys when they come home, and occasionally to help in the mornings or later evenings depending on our work schedules.
We are located on the Upper East Side. The schedule is mostly to cover after school time, but occasionally to put in a longer evening and manage bedtime, if needed for our work schedules. Duration is likely for the next 4-6 weeks and starting very soon.
