Our two sons are 12 and 8 and in middle school and elementary school. My wife and I commute to work every day except Friday when I am home and can cover afternoon care.

Our 12 year old is mostly independent but will need a ride to sports practice a few days a week. Our younger son has to be picked up after school (school is a short walk from our house). He is somewhat independent but needs some supervision.
