We have two girls, Maddie (2 1/2; in day care) and Sadie (7 years; in 1st grade). Dad Brian stays at home with the kids, and Mom Melanie travels on average 2-3 nights/week for work. We would like an extra set of hands to help Dad out in the evenings (5:30 - 8:30 pm) when Melanie is out of town.
Specific duties: Help feed/entertain kids while Dad prepares dinner (or vice versa, if you like to cook); homework and bedtime routine for the 7-year-old (shower, read books) while Dad wrangles the toddler; help with dinner clean-up/dishes. Bedtime for both girls is between 7:30-8 pm (a bit later in summer). All applicants will be considered, but extra attention will be given to applicants who: 1) can play piano (because Sadie needs to practice most nights), 2) have experience working in a Great Hearts charter school, or 3) who can read to Sadie in Spanish or French.
