I am Active Army and drive home from Arlington, VA every day. I have two older children that are extremely self-sufficient, and I have a Kindergartener that will be there 2-3 days a week. 5 and 9 year old get off of the bus at 03:50 pm, and the 12 year old gets off of the bus at 04:10 pm. We have two dogs that love people, so sitter will need to be comfortable with animals. Kids want to take TaeKwonDo classes, so Sitter may be asked to drive them to and from the class 3 days a week. Overall, main responsibility is to greet the kids at the bus, and to keep the kids company until I am able to get home from work and the gym, usually around 7:00-7:30 pm.
