I love working with children and I look forward to working with yours! I am currently looking to provide care for a family, either part time or full time. I love caring for children and watching them as they grow and develop, teaching them and allowing them to teach themselves about life and the world they live in. I have many years of experience with all ages as the eldest of four and the chosen sitter for many of my younger cousins. Newborn to three years old are my favorite and specialty but I am experienced with all ages up to 16 years old. I love playing and I am a firm believer that the best learning happens through play. When I am caring for children we dance, cook (depending on age and ability), read, paint or color, sing, and do lots of talking-regardless of age!!! I believe effective, respectful communication is needed when dealing with people of all ages, but especially children. It is important to me that a child have high self-esteem and I do what I can to foster an environment that promotes it whenever I care for children. My friends lovingly call me Cinderella because I like to clean.  I am happy helping out around your house with cleaning. I can also help with homework up to and including high school level.  I am open to all types of work, whether it be a regular 4+ hour shift, an occasional "Mommy and/or Daddy need(s) a couple hours alone", or a last minute  "Oh my goodness! Please come save us!!!" emergency job. I am available to work in both San Gabriel Valley, Orange County, San Bernardino County and Riverside County. Hello, Families! Thank you for visiting my profile. Caring for children is a serious responsibility. I often see, while searching for jobs, parents asking for a "trustworthy" babysitter. In today's world, it is becoming increasingly difficult for parents to find someone whom they can trust with their children. I am happy to be able to offer quality childcare to families, care they can trust. My experience in childcare actually began many years ago, on a very casual, very rare basis. Then, when my younger sister was born, I cared for her several hours a day, while I was also attending school. My duties included bathing, feeding, teaching, training, and playing with her. We read stories and sang songs. She has grown up into a beautiful young lady. Looking back, I am so thankful to have had a part in her healthy development. Recently, I have had the privilege of being entrusted to care for children ranging from newborns to young elementary-school aged children. I always enjoy caring for them and helping them to learn and explore in an educational and safe manner. Caring for children is a very rewarding career! A qualified caregiver must always be prepared. For this reason, I am certified in infant, child and adult CPR. I am also trained in First Aid, Preventative Health and Safety. Also, I have been educated in Positive Discipline, and Healthy Eating, for those children who may be picky eaters.
