I own a children’s resale boutique in town and one of the things I like best about it is interacting with the kids and their families! I work in my shop only part time and now that my kids are older I’ve found that I have time and love to give to families that need a little help or a break or a date night! I love animals and so pets in the home are a bonus for me. I’m also very happy to help with meal prep or tidying up if I’m at your home. I love the parks and the beach and I’m willing to take kids for walks or on outings. I’m happy to help with homework too. After UCSB I worked in both educational and residential facilities with severely emotionally disturbed teenagers and learned so much about behavior management and caring for children who need extra support. I love working with children and more than that just being in their presence because I deeply enjoy watching them grow in every aspect. Not to mention after a long or hard day, they always get me to smile, laugh, and remember what it’s like to be a child. Seeing them develop in all aspects is one on the great, and many byproducts of us as sitters/nannys as we get to see these rewards because of the energy and attentiveness we give back to them. One day I hope to work with children as an occupation in the medical field, but until then I’d love to get the opportunity to be surrounded with as many different kiddos as possible, as I find each and every one of their personalities to be so interesting! A little bit about some experience I’ve had is: a lifeguard/swim instructor teaching ages 3-15 years (attained CPR, and lifeguard certification), volunteer child care provider ages 2-4years, and currently working as a volunteer tutor with the education+ program. I am available Monday through Friday in the early mornings, Wednesdays-Fridays from 1pm-9pm, along with Weekends which I’m free to sit at any time.
