I have been babysitting for 4 years now, I started in high school. I started out with families I knew and as I got more experience I went out and found new families that needed a babysitter. I would stay at the kids’’ houses from the time they got home from school to the time they needed to sleep. I helped them with their homework, played with them, made them dinner, helped out for the baths, and put them to bed. After a year I got my license, my responsibilities were also to pick them up from school.

I ran 43 daycares for 16 years on the East Coast and was a nanny both in Maryland and in California after the selling of the daycares. I have also taught swimming, art, and dance to young children. I am up to date on current trends such as Baby-led weening and other new techniques. I maintain a log so that the parents know what is happening with their young children. The log includes food and milk intake, diaper activity, nap length, and any observations that need to be passed on. I also take children to parks and pools or other activities. I am vaccinated and Covid careful. I also have multiple references from my past nanny positions. I have a pre-school and art program that I have developed and use currently. I enjoy working with children and building their confidence using music and art. I like to include active learning exercises that keep the children engaged. Singing is a constant part of my day-to-day interaction with the children I care for. I have 5 large Rubbermaid containers filled with games, art supplies, pre-school lessons and a storyboard with many different stories. All geared to develop confidence and build their learning capabilities. My rate is based not only on the market rate but hours and needs. When you hire me you are getting a professional that also becomes part of the family. I am currently looking for a position that is no less than 20 hours and no more than 40 hours a week. Hello, my name is Celine. I am an undergraduate student pursing a degree in speech and hearing sciences because I want to become a speech pathologist for children. I am studying online which allows me to have flexibility within my schedule and also allows me to stay local here in Sunnyvale, CA with my family. A little about me, I love being active and going to the gym and going on walks/hikes. I love traveling but often don't leave for too long because I miss my cats and dogs at home.
