Laura cared for our daughter from ages 1–2, and we were so grateful to have her for that year. Her background as a teacher really came through in the thoughtful, engaging care she provided. She was attentive, patient, and genuinely invested in her development and well-being. We always felt she was in wonderful hands and would highly recommend Laura to any family.

Hi! My name is Sophie and I am a 26 year old wife and step mom to a 12 year old girl. I have been working at a preschool for the last 3 years, but have worked with kids all my life. I have 5 brothers (2 with special needs) and 2 sisters. Safe to say I have been through it all! I am CPR + First Aide certified. I am a loving and energetic person who loves spending time with kids! I live in San Luis Obispo, and will be beginning my schooling come January 2027. I am looking to find a family I can help care for while also attending school. Feel free to message me or set up a phone call!

I am passionate about working with children and caring for them. While new to professional child care, I have significant experience with babysitting and working with kids in a school setting, as well as long-term infant care. I am avaliable for both week and weekend care during the summer, and am CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. I am patient, caring, and aim to create a fun and safe environment.

I am a 21 yo college student studying mathematics at Cal Poly, SLO! I have been nannying kids of all ages and many neurotypes for years. I love to provide a compassionate environment and adapt to your child's needs. I am prepared to clean, help with homework (especially math!), drive, and ensure the kids are comfortable, enjoying themselves, and set up for success.

I've worked as an Aid (SCIA) in a Mild to Moderate Early Intervention Preschool Class, and before that I volunteered for a year and a half in a Moderate to Severe Preschool Class Specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have also been a babysitter for 10 years (beginning when I was 12). I love children, they are so joyful and positive, even when they are having the worst of days. There is something so special and unique about children who have special needs, they just love so much it's incredible, they are superheroes, but not many people recognize them as that. I'm a preschool special education teacher on summer break and just looking to save some extra money for future travel through babysitting and pet sitting while away from the classroom :)

I am 25 and have grown up with child care experience. I am the oldest of seven children, the youngest of whom is a four-year old boy. Growing up, I took care of my siblings while my mom worked jobs to support us. I highly respect a busy working mother. My siblings were of all ages and I learned skills of adaptability, patience, good judgement, and self-motivation. I helped take care of the house and entertained my siblings when we weren’t in school. I was highly motivated in high school and I also played tennis! I graduated from CSU-Monterey Bay in California with a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Education. I am very passionate about getting myself and young people outside and interested in science and the natural sciences particularly. I learned how to teach students using experience-based learning and open-ended questions. While in undergraduate school and after graduation I taught in a before (6-10am) and after school program (2-7pm) for children of people who work in agriculture for four years. I worked alone with ~10 kids with a range of ages 5-12 in a class. I had to use strong problem skills, creative quick thinking, and self-management to support their success academically, emotionally, and socially. My style is balancing age appropriate conversation and treating them as adults/their own individual person. I believe in inspiring self-responsibility and motivation through incentives and having a positive relationship with the child while also communicating strengths or needs for support with the parent(s). I created daily activities myself or asked the kids to choose a range of activities (puzzles, coloring, computer school games, homework help, crafts, card games), encouraged outside activities (basketball, versions of tag, laying in the grass listening to music) and participated in general conversation with kids of all ages. Pre-COVID19 I brought them to outdoor field trips and nature walks. During the pandemic my main goal was to keep them emotionally regulated and as motivated in school as possible. Other skills that are worth noting for supporting child success is I am bilingual in Spanish and English. I was CPR certified but will need to renew it as it expired this year. I also have a clean driving record but I have moved from California and will need to get a New York Driving License. Thank you, Jasmin Gonzalez

I love children, I used to be a elementary school teacher I would teach the subject of art. I also hosted many outdoor nature events for kids to experience hiking. I care deeply for children and can connect to them where they feel seen, heard, and even can play endlessly. I enjoy caring. Cooking even, being in a family setting. I am very artistic, well-educated, and adventurous. I know how to handle change, I'm adaptive and got a very big heart. I can sense slight things so I can feel when a child is one way or the other and will steer them towards the right direction.

HI! I am a second year public health student at Cal Poly. I am dependable, patient, and prioritize creating a fun and safe space for kids. I have a lot of experience working with kids through my years of soccer coaching and leading a soccer camp. This allowed me to learn how to keep the kids engaged and focused. I also work as a lifeguard during my summers so I have current Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications.

Hi! My name is Isabel, and I’m a responsible, caring, and dependable babysitter who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. I have experience caring for children of different ages and am comfortable helping with playtime, meals, homework, bedtime routines, and keeping children entertained in a safe and positive environment. I’m CPR and AED certified for children, and I take safety and responsibility very seriously. I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish, which can be helpful for families who speak either language. I’m patient, organized, and attentive, and I always want children to feel comfortable and cared for while their parents are away. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your family and become someone you can trust!
