I grew up in a large family with many siblings and cousins who led by example how to care for your younger siblings and cousins. I love being a sitter because children are funny, insightful, and I always learn from them as they do from me. I have a variety of interests which allows me to easily connect kids and adults about their own interests from animals, arts, books, music, sports, etc. My philosophy for caring for children is giving them agency (depending on age) and allowing them to guide me in what activities we engage in (within parental parameters). A. in Human Development (Early Childhood Development Option) and have some graduate coursework in Speech-Language Pathology completed at Cal State East Bay. I enjoy babysitting because all my life I’ve baby sat my siblings, cousins, and nieces and nephews. So as I have gotten into doing it I’ve loved it more and more getting to know each of their little personalities and being able to watch them be their own creative self. I enjoy helping them with homework, crafts, and other hobbies they might enjoy. I have baby sat for 3-5 years now and I really enjoy it. I was a nanny for 3 years for a family friend making dinner for the kids cleaning, bathing, and putting them to bed and watching them on vacations as well.
