Meet Brook

  • Comfortable with pets

Hello there! My name is Brook Weir, I am 21 years old and I have over 8 years of various childcare experiences ranging from occasional date night babysitting to working in a daycare setting and working as a Nanny. I am comfortable with caring for more than one child, I honestly think the more the merrier and I am also comfortable with pets. I have my own transportation and have experience driving children around from my last Nanny job that recently ended due to me needing to relocate. My Nanny responsibilities consisted of caring for two children (Ages 3-4, and 7-8). During my time with that family I hosted play dates with other children, prepared meals and snacks, transported the children to and from their activities, initiated various activities to keep the kids entertained and both established and maintained relationships with the children's other care givers (parents, relatives, teachers, recreational Read more activity instructors). I am well versed in caring for children and I know it takes a lot of heart and dedication to truly understand and provide the best care for the child. I would say I am friendly, playful, a good role model, and over all well equipped in skills needed to care for children. I also have experience working with infants and toddlers, so I also know how to make formula bottles, change diapers, soothe fussy little ones, entertain younger minds, and overall provide the love and attention an infant or toddler needs. A little about me personally would be that I just graduated my Psychology Undergraduate at California State University Monterey Bay. I am going to be starting a Graduate program for School Psychology starting in August, but it is all online so I am available most times during the week and I can most likely be available during weekends with some exceptions. I have a passion for both children and animals, I have always had a special place in my heart which is entirely focused on a love and commitment to care for both. I am very easy going but I am extremely responsible. I am more than happy to have an in person interview or on the phone and I have references who can support all of my claims in regards to childcare.
