Married - 29 years. We have 3 children.....25, 22, and 20. I have cared for children since I was a child myself. I continued through middle and high school and into my adult years. I did complete an Early Childhood Education course my senior year of high school and received my certificate for that. I worked in customer service/inside sales for a worldwide manufacturing company in Littleton, Colorado for about 10 years (until our first child was a year old). I then began working at Lakehurst Medical Center and remained there until our second child was born. From there, I have been a stay at home mom and I have also been the office manager for our plumbing company since 2006. I have cared for approximately four families through the care.com website and a couple of others through other avenues. I still remain in contact with all of these families. I truly love being in the company of little ones, especially infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Watching them grow, learn, and experience new things is so exciting and rewarding to be a part of. The smiles, giggles, and cuddles have a way of brightening the day. I do have a certificate in early childhood education but I would say the majority of my experience has come from my extensive babysitting background at a young age and having three of my own children as well as the many families I have had the opportunity to nanny for. It is also something that just comes so natural to me. I am looking for part-time care positions that would allow me to still be available for my family and our business. I have been working with children either in my home, church, daycare, or preschool for over 20 years now. Over the last 13 years, I have been taking care of infants through elementary age kiddos in my home. I have experience working with autistic children, as well as speech disorders. Prior to my daycare, I also taught preschool for 7 years. I worked in all of the classrooms ranging in age from infants to 4 and 5-year-olds. I’m 23 years old and have a Bachelor's degree in Health Science with an emphasis in nursing, which I earned from a small college in Nebraska. During my college years, I was also a collegiate volleyball player while working at a local daycare, where I gained experience caring for infants as young as six weeks old and providing summer care for children up to six years old. After graduating, I moved back to Colorado to pursue a second bachelor’s degree in nursing, and I’m excited to graduate next December! Hi, my name is Bree! I’m a fun, energetic, and outgoing person who genuinely loves working with kids. I have a knack for helping even the shyest kiddos come out of their shell and feel comfortable. I’m very active and spend a lot of my free time with my horses, hiking, and working out, so I enjoy keeping kids engaged and having fun—whether that’s playing games, doing crafts, or just being outdoors. Kids are rarely bored when they’re with me! I also have a strong background in the medical field, and am first aid/CPR certified. I’ve worked as an EMT and CNA, and I’m currently studying to become a phlebotomist. Because of this, safety is always a top priority for me, and I’m confident in handling a variety of situations calmly and responsibly. I have two dogs of my own—a Pitbull and a German Shorthair Pointer—so I’m very comfortable around pets as well.
