Hello, my name is Kenzi and I am currently attending CU Boulder. I have been working with kids since I was twelve. I’ve worked with dozens of families with kids between the age of 12 weeks to fourteen years old. In the last five years I have worked between preschools and being a caregiver for a kid with special needs. In total I have about eight months as a full time preschool teacher, and almost two and a half years as a part time caregiver. When I’m not at work I live to explore the outdoors, do arts and crafts (absolutely love doing them with the kiddos) and enjoying quality time with those I’m closest to.

I am a graduate from the University of Colorado Boulder, with a degree in Astrophysics and a minor in music. I love science and music and arts and crafts and love teaching! I have great customer service and people skills, a nearly photographic memory, and am a very quick learner. I have lots of experience in childcare, and love working with children. I especially value giving children access to music and art and believe that teaching them creative skills greatly enriches their lives and improves their development! As a summer camp counselor I was in charge of 15+ kids aged anywhere from kindergarten to eighth grade. Did mostly sport activities, but also led sessions teaching kids about outer space and building model rockets, as well as artistic and musical activities. This position taught me a lot about working with kids and especially about how important it is to involve kids in science and the arts in fun and engaging ways! I also taught piano to three students: a four year old boy, a six year old boy, and an eleven year old girl. During my time as their piano teacher, I taught them the basics of music theory and piano technique, while maintaining a fun and engaging atmosphere. I also helped them build a repertoire of piano pieces from various musical eras. Despite their many musical accomplishments, my greatest accomplishments were the relationships I built with each individual student. I am also very good at cooking and baking and would love to help meal prep, do household duties like cleaning and laundry, as well as involve the kids in fun baking!
