I was prepared for sitting early because of my experience at home. I grew up in a single parent home and helped care for my brother, who’s three years younger, and my sister who is 7 years younger than me. I started sitting for families throughout middle and high school, sometimes tutoring those children as well during my sitting sessions. From college and beyond, I have worked for many families and with children ranging from 3 months to 16 years old. I am completely comfortable with all ages of children and groups of up to 5 children at once. In addition to my experience and passion, flexibility makes me a great sitter. Currently, I run a business which allows me flexibility in my schedule. I am always willing to accommodate parents’ needs and schedules, I arrive on time, and I am willing to work long shifts or stay late as needed. I am a great cook and take pride in keeping homes as clean as possible. For every job, I always come prepared to be active, get on the floor, do indoor and outdoor activities, prepare needs, and tidy up. I love connecting with children and learning their personalities. I recently retired from my role in St. Louis as a Parent Educator, where I assisted families with parenting topics, such as feeding, sleep, potty training and developmental milestones as well as created fun, hands-on activities.
