I have over 8 years of child care experience from being a camp counselor through my towns parks and rec department, to tutoring the sciences at Huntington Learning Center. For 5 years I worked as a camp counselor with infants to middle school aged kids. I have experience as a full time nanny and routine babysitting with numerous families! From my numerous different types of child care experiences I have a whole toolbox full of creative, educational and engaging activities for kids of all ages! As a childcare worker for over a decade I started off working in Windsor Public Schools as a Before/After School Program Leader along with working as a STEM teacher in summer camp. Next I worked in daycares as both a Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher and as Floating Teacher. Most recently I was a Math/Reading Interventionist, giving individualized and small group instruction to children struggling academically. I also have experience with special needs children and providing ABA play-based therapy to children with autism. Although I’ve had many different roles in the early childhood field, the times where I feel most fulfilled are when a family reaches out to me and entrusts me with the responsibility of caring for their children in their home. I am a mother to my 5-year-old son, so I know firsthand the fear that comes along with searching for someone safe and qualified. Hello! My name is Katrina, and I am 24 years old. My passion for childcare began early—during high school, where every senior was paired with a kindergartener to mentor and support. Through daily check-ins and weekly lunches, I discovered how much I loved helping young minds learn and grow. After graduation, I began working at a daycare, where I gained 4.5 years of hands-on experience with children of all ages. During my first year and a half, I rotated between classrooms to build experience with different age groups before becoming the head teacher of the infant room. In that role, I developed valuable skills in infant care, early development, and creating a nurturing, structured environment. In January 2024, I transitioned into private nannying for a family with two boys—an infant (2 months) and a toddler (3 years old). I am a licensed teachers assistant for child development for the state of CT. At 10 years old I had to practically raise my brother who is 3 years younger and I realized my profession is with kids of any age group. I worked at baby cottage daycare for 2 years when I was 16. And after I graduated at 17 I worked hard to get my teachers assistant liscense for daycares or schools and now hoping to work toward to becoming a teacher one day.

Hi my name is Vanessa, but my little friends call me " Miss Nessa" I was the neighborhood babysitter while growing up, so much so I would go on family vacations, with my neighbors. I was very involved with the child care at my church during my youth. and as my own children were growing up I was the Nursery supervisor.
