I love getting to know children and value each one as their own individual. I'm currently going to school at WGU to obtain my bachelor's in elementary education. I have provided childcare in my teenage years and adulthood. I've helped a friend watch her infant while she was at work. While substituting for Cleveland City Schools, I have experience in dealing with special needs individuals both elementary and middle school age. I also have two of my own boys who are in elementary school; one had a diagnosis of ASD and the other ADHD. I consistently talk and interact with children as much as I can, enjoying their company while also eager to teach them about things both simple and complex. I also try to listen when children speak, allowing them to sort their thoughts, even if it takes a little while. I have a background in EMT work, but I am NOT licensed. I have experience in giving care to postoperative patients and I am not squeamish as I have a license in phlebotomy and administering IVs. I have a decent understanding of medical care, and have experience in giving care to diabetics, including administering insulin and food preparation. I have a valid driver's license and a car that can fit three passengers comfortably (four passengers maximum.) I am comfortable driving highways, street roads, mountains, and every type of weather imaginable. That includes ice, snow, and heavy winds. I can cook, bake, and follow a recipe. I can clean and take care of an abode reliably. I'm eager to learn ASL and Spanish. I know and can speak conversational German, but it's a bit rusty as there's no where to practice. I'm happy to play tabletop games such as Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer 40K, werewolf/Avalon, and board games. I can sew, including making a piece of apparel from scratch, or mending a tear in clothing. I can sew accessories, blankets, and even make alterations to dog outfits. (I also have my own sewing machine and serger.) I'm happy to teach these skills as well. I am decent at mathematics and practice arithmetic mentally. I have a verbose vocabulary, and I'm happy to help with reading and writing. My tying is proficient with 84wpm and I can also type using 10 key.

I absolutely love kids, I have 5 under 6 right now, I’m super easy going, I have a lot of patience, I’ve previously been working as a CMA so I’m CPR certified, I can do first aid, I’m really good with children when they get sick, I’ve been working with kids since I was younger so I have a lot of experience and on top of that I have children as well so I do understand how hard and challenging it may be taking care of children. I really enjoy spending time with my own children so it’s always exciting spending time,meeting, and learning about other peoples children too. Hi! I am McKenzie, I have been a sitter for 6 years now, so I have tons of experience with ages newborn-7 years and all types of children. I currently work as a full-time nanny to a 3 year old boy and I pick his sister up from school every afternoon, but my schedule is super inconsistent so I am looking for another family that can provide a more consistent schedule. I have a son of my own that is 10 months old, he is a very social baby that loves to play with other children so I am hoping to find a family that would be okay with my son coming along as well. Potty training and crib training are both things I am very skilled at. My son has been crib trained since 6 months, I started intro to potty at 8 months and now at 10 months he uses the potty multiple times during the day, although he will have occasional accidents here and there if I am busy and cannot watch closely for the cues. I am very good with children and love to teach kids of all ages, however I particularly have the most fun with smaller babies/toddlers. I am also most familiar with ages newborn-3 years of age. I love teaching them to eat (I done BLW with my son) use the potty, sleep in their own beds, learn to say new words, reading to them, all of it is so fun!!! I have my own vehicle, I am patient, I am passionate about my work with children, I am devoted to this field of work, I love to really pour into the children under my care, and I love to build a bond with both the child/children and the parents as well.
