Ever since I can remember, I have loved working with children. As a sophomore in high school, I began volunteering as a leader in my church’s kids ministry (Pre-K and Elementary). In this role, I led children in worship, assisted with activities, and helped create a lively and welcoming space where kids could learn about Jesus. After one year, I transitioned into serving as a Special Needs buddy for students throughout the church. Through this role, I gained experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities, including ADHD and autism, and I found great joy in supporting and connecting with them. When I moved to Savannah for college this fall, I got connected to a local church and began serving in student ministry at Compassion Christian Church, where I now serve regularly.
