I have been babysitting/nannying for almost 8 years now and absolutely love what I do! I specialize in newborn/infant care and am currently a nanny for a sweet 6 month old! I am CPR certified and have taken First Aid classes at the HHI fire station. I enjoy being a sitter because growing up, I’ve always had younger family members around. I was always the ‘go-to’ person to babysit and watch the kids. Be it for date night, busy days, needing relief, last minute requests, I was always the person my family turned to in times of need for watching their kids or just coming over to hang out. Growing up in a big family, I’ve always had younger siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews. Slowly, I became the person who kids started gathering around. It's also probably because I am more on the playful and optimistic side so kids tend to gravitate towards me. I too, also enjoyed the company of kids and being around kids rather than hanging out with my older sibling, cousins, and family members because that always allowed me to take a step back and not have to be an adult for the time being. Just having fun while, relaxing, and get in touch with my inner child again and feeling nostalgic, as I get to explore and experience the things they’re experiencing for the first time.

I am currently a retired teacher. I taught as a certified teacher in early childhood and elementary education, 1st grade for seven years, 4th grade for ten years, and 1 year in 5th grade. I have several years experience when it comes to children 2 years to 6 years of age. I worked as both a lead teacher and assistant director for the past year. I’ve worked in traditional child development centers and Montessori child development center. I am also currently certified in CPR and First.
