My name is Rylee and I have been babysitting all ages of children since I was about 12 years old. I am majoring in architecture at Iowa State. I love children and babies because they have the most unique perspectives on life. I like fostering a safe place for kids to develop and learn. I have babysat babies from newborn to toddler age, for full day and night periods. I regularly watch two children at once (a toddler and seven year old) and have experience watching up to six elementary-aged kids at once. I have led my own summer art class for elementary-aged students and taught classes at my local art center. I also have experience tutoring third and fourth graders. I am open to tutoring and helping with homework if the kids need it. I was a lifeguard at a country club for two years. I was trained and certified in first aid and CPR, but I did not renew the certification. I am good at learning schedules and can adapt to any style of the care the parents wish. I think babysitting is one of the most rewarding jobs because even when the kids are having a bad day, you get to be a support for them. I think it is important to teach children emotional intelligence and help them navigate big feelings. In my experience, babysitting is not always easy, but always gratifying.

I am about to graduate high school this May, and I plan to move to Cedar Rapids! I also work part-time at Fareway after school and on weekends. I am the youngest of my siblings but I am very good with kids! I have been babysitting since I was twelve years old and have worked with newborns up to children who are 12+. I also have an older brother who has autism, who has also taught me a lot about patience and understanding. I also have a strong passion for Jesus and he plays a big role in my life! While attending church, I have served in the nursery with little kids as well. Outside of work and school, I love playing guitar, readings books, baking, and enjoy spending time outside.
