I have always had a love for kids they are just all so bright and have such big imaginations. I started working at a daycare once I turned 16 and have worked at a daycare ever since, I have 2+ years of experience. I am loving, outgoing, crafty, and caring! I am also CPR certified.

I raised my son and 2 daughters. I’m semi retired and have 7 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. My two grandsons are here, in West Des Moines. I spent the last 9 yrs watching them, while their parents worked. Before that I worked in social work and helped with my grandson and 2 granddaughters in TX for 9 yrs. I love staying active with them, hiking and playgrounds. I have a BA degree from William Penn Univ., Oskaloosa, IA.

I have been watching children in some fashion since I was 11 years old (26 years). I have been a nanny for a family in the past and it was a great experience. I have watched children from infancy into their teens and have no issues with watching multiple children at the same time. I am very organized and like to keep children occupied with activities with minimal screen time. I have two nieces and a nephew (all siblings) that I have watch since birth and still watch frequently. Their ages vary from 10 months to 7 years old. When I am watching them, I have one child home all day, one child home half days, and the eldest has school all day. This requires being able to keep the day organized and a good routine going.

I'm a pre-nursing student currently working part time as a registered behavioral technician with kids who have autism. My 8 years of babysitting experience has provided me a plethora of skills (meal prep, diaper changes, calming strategies) and being CPR + first aid certified has only enriched my ability to provide quality care to youth.
