Zaria W., Child Care in Madison, IL 62060 with 8 years of paid experience

Hi there! My name is Zaria and I’m a childcare professional with over eight years of experience working with children of all ages, from infants to teens. My background includes working as a professional babysitter, full-time nanny, and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), giving me the skills to support children of all ages and a wide range of personalities and learning styles. I’ve had the joy of caring for children in home and classroom settings, including those with special needs. My time as an RBT gave me valuable experience supporting children with developmental, behavioral, and sensory differences, and it taught me how to create a calm, safe, and positive environment for every child. I approach each day with patience, empathy, and creativity, meeting kids where they are and helping them thrive in their own unique ways. I believe that every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported, and I work intentionally to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment. My caregiving philosophy centers on intentional and mindful interactions that help to build trust through empathy, active listening, and positive reinforcement. I believe kids do best when they feel safe, heard, and understood. I also love helping families feel confident that their children are in caring, capable hands. I’ve taken coursework in Child Development, Child Psychology, and Applied Behavior Analysis, which gives me a strong foundation in how children think, learn, and grow. When I’m not working, you can usually find me cooking, reading, writing, singing, or painting. I love bringing those hobbies into my childcare time, whether it’s through baking cookies together, singing songs, or making creative art projects. Overall, I’m passionate about helping children grow into their best selves and I look forward to partnering with families who value intentional, compassionate care.

Randy S., Child Care in Madison, IL 62060 with 35 years of paid experience

Hello, my name is Randy. I have over 40 years working with children in a multitude of diverse roles. I started babysitting at 13, to Nannying, to Daycare (Infant room to Site Director), to Substitute Teaching (all grades), to the State of MO in Social Services as a Foster Care Worker & CA/N Hotline Investigator, to my last professional role as a Unit, House 6, Supervisor at a Therapeutic Residential Treatment Facility. 9 years ago, at 46, I took an early retirement to live out some dreams, one of which was to motorcycle the continental US, Canada & Mexico. About a year ago I decided to return to work in Childcare again at 52. I'm currently working M-F, 8-5 as both a Lead Pre-K Teacher (school year) & Lead School-Aged Summer Camp Counselor (Summers). I'm currently FT. Honestly, being a Nanny again would suit my lifestyle better at this time in a more personalized, relaxed, home setting focusing on all aspects of fostering child development. Being a Babysitter & Nanny for families were some of the best experiences I've ever had. I've Babysat & Nannied for all ages (infant to 14), cultures & genders, from 1-5 children. Most of the families I've worked for were 1-3 children. I love my current position as a Pre-K Teacher/Summer Camp Counselor, though I'm always willing to help out parents some eves & weekends who need a quality Babysitter. It's a good break from the classroom setting. I don't smoke, am physically fit, trained & skilled in childcare, responsible, reliable, emotionally & cognitively mature, love pets, have a clean driving record, fully insured & a Class E (Chauffeur) on my DL. I'm happy to provide copies of my resume, recent Childcare DHSS/MO State Highway Patrol fingerprint childcare background checks, CPR-Infant/Adult/AED, ongoing Childcare training class certifications, references, recent physical & TB test & any other paperwork you may require. I do hope you consider me, would love the opportunity to talk more about my qualifications & to meet your family to see if it's a good fit. I hope to hear from you. Thank you for your time, Randy
