Hi! I'm Iggy. I've worked as a babysitter, nanny, after school counselor, and outdoor education instructor. I'm a certified lifeguard, CPR/first-aid trained, and I have my youth mental health first aid certification. I have experience with ages 1-18, and have experience working with children with mental and physical disabilities. I'm new to the Champaign-Urbana area and would love to connect with some local families! My favorite part of working with kids is helping them embrace their creativity and curiosity. I love finding what kiddos love to do and supporting them in it, whether it's building a pillow fort, reading aloud together, or playing outside. I respect the intelligence and independence of the kids I work with, and try to provide gentle, discovery-based guidance when needed. P.S. I used to work at an animal shelter and my house is basically a menagerie at any given time, so pets are a bonus and I'd love to help care for them as well!

I have been a caretaker as early as I can remember. I started babysitting for children in my neighborhood in middle school. I went to college and obtained my degree in Early Childhood Education. I raised three daughters of my own. The majority of my jobs over the past twenty five years have been caring for young children. I have acquired some great experience and lessons over the years. My strengths are my patience and reliability. I love singing and reading to children. Taking long nature walks is one of my favorite activities to share with children. If you would like to talk further;. Please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience. Thanks so much! Ellen Buetow

Let me start by saying that I am available immediately. I am retired and find I have way too much time on my hands. I wanted to do something to fill some of the time so I decided I would like to start watching children for people that need a dependable and caring person while they work outside of the home. I know for a fact that it is a huge relief just knowing when you work outside of the home and you have someone there that is watching over your little ones that is dependable and caring -- that can mean everything. I have raised 2 daughters and have cared for my 6 grandchildren throughout their years of growing. Right now their ages are 14, 18, 19, 20, 21 and the oldest being 33 years old and out on his own. When I'm not caring for your children I like to be with my grandchildren as much as possible and go to their sporting events. Spending time with family is very important to me. My preference would probably be to care for children 3 and over. I look forward to being able to come into your home and care for your children while they are in my care. I will do my best to be someone they look forward to seeing when I'm there. .

Hello, my name is Kierstyn but I also go by Kay. I am 25yrs old and have a 6yr old and a 2yr old special needs son. I have been working with kids for a very long time, started volunteering at 10, became an assistant teacher at 19 and a lead preschool teacher at 23. Unfortunately I had to change jobs to accommodate my son’s medical appointments so I began working overnight at a group home August of 2024. I have loved it and am looking to help care for others during my time off. I work 4 on and 4 off so I can provide my schedule months in advance. I work 10:30pm-6:30am. I hope I am able to be of service to you!

I have been babysitting on and off since I was 14! I have watched all age groups and have helped out friends of my parents, teachers, and people who just genuinely need a sitter last minute. I love kids and I love working with kids. I am a college student and have always worked. Helping out with kids has always been something I loved so when parents need a helping hand i’m willing to do so. I am very flexible and I do work another job but it is also very flexible.

I absolutely love being a sitter because I get to make a positive impact on children’s lives while helping families feel at ease. It’s a rewarding experience knowing I’m not only providing care but also offering companionship, fun, and a safe environment for kids to thrive. Seeing their smiles, hearing their laughter, and watching them grow makes it all worthwhile." I have several years of experience babysitting for families with children ranging from infants to pre-teens. I’ve also assisted with homework, meal preparation, and light housework. My experience has helped me develop strong communication skills with both children and parents, ensuring the family’s needs are always met. I am CPR and First Aid certified, which gives me the confidence to handle emergency situations. I also have training in child development, so I understand how to approach different age groups and engage with them in ways that suit their needs. Additionally, I am skilled at managing routines, helping with educational activities, and fostering positive behavior.

Hello, I’m Katie! I absolutely love working with children, and I have years of experience caring for toddlers and young kids. In the summer of 2020, I worked as a full-time nanny for a 3-year-old, where I helped with potty training, daily routines, and fun learning activities. I’ve also worked with children through CU Church, helping create a positive and engaging environment for little ones. I’m comfortable with pets, driving children to and from activities, and creating a safe, upbeat atmosphere wherever I’m needed. A bit about me — I’m currently a senior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Agricultural Communications. On campus, I serve as President of my sorority, where I’ve developed strong leadership and communication skills. Outside of school, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen — I love baking and sharing sweet treats with friends and family! I’d love the opportunity to bring my energy, care, and experience to your family!
