I work at an elementary school supporting special education students, and I truly love what I do. For the past three years, I've had the privilege of helping children grow, learn, and overcome challenges in a supportive and encouraging environment. Watching students grasp new concepts and gain confidence in themselves is the most rewarding part of my day. I especially value the personal connections I build with the kids - having faced struggles of my own growing up, I understand how important it is for every child to feel seen, heard, and supported. While I currently work during the school year, I'm also looking to continue working with children over the summer and during extended holiday breaks. I love staying active and engaged in environments where I can make a positive impact year-round. I'm CPR and first-aid certified, and always strive to create a safe, nurturing space for the children in my care. Outside of work, I'm passionate about animals and books and spend time with them whenever I can. Every day, I show up to work with heart and dedication because I believe in the difference we can make, one child at a time.

I think the most rewarding part about caring for children is fostering relationships with them and their families. I really cherish the moments where I can help families support a child's growth and become an integral part of their development. I love engaging with learning activities and going outside in nature with children to explore and learn.

For the past three years I thoroughly enjoyed working as a nanny for two different families - one with three children and the other with seven. For a period of 15 years, I worked as an as-needed evening babysitter for 15 families. I have assisted in church infant and toddler nurseries for 25 years. I have taught Sunday School for over 10 years to children ages 2-10. I have taught Spanish to children ages 4 through adult for 5 years. I have worked with both children and adults with developmental delays (including behavioral issues and learning disabilities) for 20 years. I have worked as a primary and elementary school dual language teacher, a reading interventionist and private tutor with children who have learning struggles. I enjoy getting to know children to discover their likes/dislikes and tailor games and activities accordingly. We can play outside, do arts and crafts, sing, make up stories - the possibilities are endless! English is my first language, but I speak Spanish fluently. Just say the word and I will spend all the time you like speaking in Spanish to your child(ren)!

My name is Cecilia Provins. I am originally from Indiana, but moved to Kalamazoo for school! I recently graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education! I am the oldest of 8, which has heavily influenced my love for children & teaching. As for experience, I was the mother figure in my family for several years. My youngest sibling is only 6 months old. I have regularly babysat for date nights/events for a 5 year old boy, as well as a three year old girl. I am very patient & caring for others, as well as dependable. I will not be attending school over summer, so I am looking for a part-time job that aligns with my love for teaching. I can easily create small lessons that will help with social-emotional learning, or subject learning as a whole! Learning should be fun & I’d love to incorporate that in our time together! Hello! I am a mom of three kids. They are 20, 15 and 6. I homeschool my youngest which allows flexibility in our schedule. I bring my daughter with me. I will not be homeschooling her while caring for your children though. Starting in August I will be available Mondays , Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:30am-8:30pm. Wednesdays and Thursdays I’m available from 4:30pm-8:30pm.We live in Winfield/Lakes of the Four Seasons. I don't mind traveling a bit further depending on hours and pay. I can babysit in my home or yours if that’s what you prefer. I always bring our own food and drinks with us and anything else that we need. We spend a lot of time reading, dancing, singing, drawing, painting, cooking, baking, homework, walks, parks, spending time playing outdoors when it’s nice. I’m very comfortable with caring for any age. I am also comfortable with pets. I’m ok with driving the kids for drop off and pick up to school or activities depending on distance. I have my degree in early childhood education. Before becoming a mom I taught preschool and worked in daycare.
