I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and helping them learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Every child is unique, and I find it really rewarding to connect with them and make their day a little brighter. As a psychology major hoping to work with children in the future, babysitting gives me a chance to gain hands-on experience and build meaningful relationships with kids and families. I’ve been paid to take care of my nephew for several years, which has given me a lot of real-world experience with everything from daily routines to creative play and helping with schoolwork. I’ve also spent a lot of time caring for my younger brother, often being responsible for meals, homework help, and bedtime routines. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how to be patient, dependable, and adaptable in different situations. I’m great at communicating with kids at their level and creating a calm, engaging environment. I’m also organized, responsible, and attentive. These are skills that help me ensure children are both safe and happy.

I haven’t had any paid experience when it comes to babysitting but I have always loved kids and have experience watching them. My mom is a hairstylist, so whenever her clients have young kids I am the one to watch and care for them. I also babysit family members young children.

I’m a freshman at Indiana University studying business, originally from San Francisco, California. Back home, I work as an Administrator at a Camp and Youth Center, where I help coordinate over 200 campers and 50 counselors each day throughout our eight-week summer program and vacation camps.
